Alt Academy Achieves Astounding AwardAs part of a year-long project, students and staff from the district helped the Alt Academy donate hundreds of pounds of crayons to children in Nicaragua as part of the Crayons for Kids program. The efforts of students, staff, and families have helped make other kids' lives a little brighter, figuratively and literally.
The project got the attention of the Character Education Partnership, who awarded us with a Promising Practices Award. Each year, as part of the National Schools of Character program, CEP recognizes educators in the United States and elsewhere who have implemented unique, specific, and effective character education strategies. We want to say thanks to everyone who contributed. How has Mehlville touched your life?Tell us about it!
